Reviews :

"Before AWB some stereotyped all Scots as prudish and soul-less (music wise) and Scotland as a confused little country near England where men wore plaid skirts at festive occasions and the bagpipe ruled. AWB squashed that prejudgment by bursting onto the scene, funky as a hot sauce smothered pig knuckle sandwich to captivate music lovers worldwide. The 18 songs are mostly in-house compositions from guys who resemble the Happy Days cast. Crimson omitted "School Boy Crush," but did include other chart busters like "Pick Up the Pieces," "Cut the Cake," "Love of Your Own," "Queen of My Soul," and "Person to Person." A remake of the Isleys' "Work to Do" is so tight it had many thinking AWB was the originator. A live version of "Love of Your Own," climaxes an exciting compilation from Glasgow's finest." AllMusic Review by Andrew Hamilton
